When you think you know everything in life

I'm starting this Blog out on a rant, maybe shouldn't but I need to get this off my shoulders.
I love it when people today seem to think in their young life think they know everything it has taking me to learn in 58 years. It has come to the point where I just let them talk because as they get older they will find out they have a lot to learn everyday of there life. Our kids today don't have respect for older people and talk over them and talk down to them they are rude and think they have the right to tell us how to live our lives. I'm talking about most younger kids as kids in their late 20's. I learn something everyday of my life and never say I know more than anyone. Kids today I think go to college and think just because they have gone they know more than we older folks do. Well I'm sure they will have a wake up call soon. I enjoy watching Discovery channel and National Geo, History channel and I have learned so much from the Bible all after my 30's why because I guess I matured and grew up. I do my best to help others. Life isn't about you it is about giving yourself to others help them to feel better which in return makes you feel good and your Blessing the people you are helping. I do my best to not interrupt people and always try to smile at people when I see someone. You never know when someone has had a bad day, or what their life is like at home.
Ok so now I've got that off my chest. On with my crafting
I have been crafting and keeping busy. I have just finished making a 2 mini 4x4 book for a swap on Inspire Laugh and Create on facebook

and just finished making an altered box for a swap.

And I'm working on finishing up ATC's for a challenge,

I also made this Rosette for the wall it is made from 12x12 cardstock I will be adding a few more.

Oh and I just mailed out a "Let the Wishing Begin" from Craftylori's YouTube page.
Everyone have a blessed day and may you find someone to fulfill there life with love and thoughtfulness. Love to all.

For the Love of Life we are dealt

Well as always it has been a while since my last post, I have been down with my back and really didn't get to go anywhere but the doctor. I didn't get to even sweep my house as the doctor didn't want me twisting my back or bending. I was in so much pain that I was nauseated. I was so bad I couldn't sit at my craft table at all. I ended up getting x-rays and found out I have degenerative disc disease or DDD Great! I guess I'm getting old bummer. Anyway I ended up at a Chiropractor and I have never been to one ever. I really was kind of scared to go but he did wonders on my back from a pain level of 9 to a 2. I still have times when I need to sit a while but so much better. I've had pain for such a long time that you get into a funk in your brain because you don't feel good and now that things are better I need to get into a better frame of mind and Be Happy!! I could be so much worse in life and we all need to be thankful for the life we have been given. Some people in this world don't have very good health and a lot of that could be due to their frame of mind. I'm going to start back at the Y and working out again and eating right and you can hold me to it and you can also be my support. I have a wedding to go to next March and I'm going to be in much better health by then.
I was able to go down to my mom and dads this week and take my mom out her her birthday. I took her to a Tea House in Danville, Indiana called "The Porch" very quaint place and had really good prices and great food. Mom had chicken salad sandwich and potato soup and I had a wonderful salad and potato soup all homemade if you live close you should go. And then that same night we ended up in the hospital with my mom with high blood pressure and very high heart rate. Not the way we thought the day would end. The doctor is sure she has Afibulation and is on a heart monitor for two weeks and then will go to her heart doctor for next step. She was in the hospital just in Jan for the same reason but they didn't catch the irregular heart rate then but she went in with high blood pressure and fast heartbeat. go figure.

I am working on a Subbie challenge my first and also a box swap for INSPIRE LAUGH CREATE of Facebook it has been fun making the box and I'm still working on it. I'd say I might be half way done. I just received my Granted wish from jellyfishcreations from craftlori's Let the Wishing Begin on YouTube I asked for some lace to use on the box I'm doing.
This is only the beginning of the box

I have to add to this blog one other thing. I think it is so sad that adult people can't come together and forgive each other for whatever reason. Life is to short to think you are right and the other person is wrong for whatever reason it might be. I feel bad for everyone involved. We had a mom at church who passed this week and she was someone I held high because of her love for Christ and the love she had for her husband and her darling two children. For 4 1/2 years she fought hard to beat the cancer she had but in the end God had bigger plans for her and she knew it up to the end. She turned to her husband and said " Gods got this" When she passed it was a shock and I was sad. I knew she was with our Lord and well again and beautiful. But my sadness was for the kids and her husband. We will be there for them they have a great support group at church. It will be different now that mom is gone or his wife is not next to her husband. We will miss you so much you were a big part of your church and family. May we meet again someday. You were amazing.

Life can be a challenge but we still move forward

When your body says Slow Down and your                              Mind say Lets Go

Well I'm sorry it has been a few weeks, But I've been down with my back. I found out today I've got degenerative disc disease with disc space narrowing at L3-L4-L5 and more  prominently at L5 on S1 there is a grade 1 spondylolisthesis L4 on L5 There is mild retrolisthesis L5 on S1 Facet degenerative joint disease is present at L3-L4-L5 and L5-S1. There is mild degenerative joint disease of the bilateral hips. I guess all in all I'm getting older and just can't do the things I have always done. I've been in so much pain it has made me nauseated. So Thursday I go to another Doctor to see if he can help if not I'll have an MRI next. I Hope that we can fix this with some therapy. There is always Hope.

I have made a few new things over the last two weeks and want to share what I've made. I'm in a group on Facebook where we post things we make and do swaps. Here is the fb page   https://www.facebook.com/groups/inspirelaughcreate/ This is a 4x4 book that I did for a swap, we could make it however we wanted but also could do the favorite book of my partner. I changed the making of this book four times and ended up with this. First mini book I've ever done. Hope I get better as I make these.

I did another Coffee and Canvas at church and really enjoyed it again. If you can find one in your area you should go and do it. I found we have one in just other town next to ours. And I may go to it because they have a picture of a dandelion that has gone to seed and the seeds are flying in the air, so cool. Here is the one I just painted a couple of weeks ago.

I love this picture.

The other thing I finely finished was the Ink pad holder I found the holder at Goodwill which I think it was a cassette holder. I took all the contact paper off of it and painted the two center area's and papered the rest. I may never fill it up but hey I only paid $1.00 for it I think it was half off.

Now the next thing I did was decorate some Bibles I got at Dollar tree. They are to pass out to people that God may lay upon my heart. I have already handed 6 out and mailing one to someone. I follow Michelle on YouTube and she started doing this and made it a challenge and I believe I heard her say in one of her last video's that 374 Bibles have gone out. Awesome!

And the last thing I just finished were these flowers which I will be doing again because I think these are to big for me but will be good for the hats I make for the Bassets to wear. These flowers are made out of 2 inch satin ribbon.

I Hope everyone has a wonderful next few days and keep crafting and remember smile at the people you see, You may make their day.
 Hugs to all My followers

Life never seems to never give us a Break

Well it has been a crazy couple of weeks and I'm sorry I haven't posted anything. As you will see with the different pictures I have posted I've been busy with life and my poor baby girl Emma.
Emma my Basset Hound went in last week for a teeth cleaning and they found a lump on her side by a mammary gland which it was hard and being in the area it was, wasn't good so they needed to get it out. I am still waiting on the report back to what it is and if it is cancer did they get it all and what stage it is. I'm hoping it is nothing. So if you would say a few prayers for this sweetheart she deserves it.

Emma was a rescue from a backyard breeder about two years ago this month. The lady told me she had 13 litters and Emma was only 6 when we got her I ask her how many litters did Emma have and she told me 13. And that she didn't breed to make money. Did this woman think I was an idiot? Emma has a lot of hang ups but she is so much better than she was when I got her. Her story would make you cry if you read the story I wrote. And maybe someday I'll post it a little at a time so you can read what she went through.

I did make some tiny suitcases out of matchboxes that I had seen on Graphic 45 Blog. They are cute and fun to make to add in a gift bag to send to someone.

I also made some Thinking of you cards a cople of Saturdays ago at church when we had a craft day. Had a fun afternoon with all the ladies and got a head start on my card stash.

And then I helped a friend redo our window boxes at church for Spring so as you can see I've been quit busy and concerned for my baby doggy. And here I didn't think I had done anything. I will be making a mini album for my niece for her birthday so I should have that to show you as I'm making it.
I almost forgot and had to update the Blog, yesterday I got my mail and thought I had Happy mail from my "Let the Wishing Begin" but it wasn't. I belong to a webpage called Just A Pinch and have for a few years. It is a wonderful site where you can put your recipes for other to use and you can even make your own cookbooks on it. I posted a recipe from my great aunt Gibby who was one of the bakers in the family. Who I took after. She had this this recipe of a Carrot Cake that everyone always asked her to make. Larry  he loved aunt Gibby's carrot cake. Larry and my cousin went to Indiana State together and have been long friends since then. MY aunt Gibby was a funny lady and called my mom and ask her to go to Walmart and buy the ugliest thung she could find. Aunt Gibby made two cakes one she put the thung in  and the other one she didn't. She took both cakes to Larry's office and told his secretary to give him the one first and after he cut into the first one she could give him the second one. When I saw him at aunt Gibby's funeral we talked about that and he told me that was the funniest thing ever and that he will miss my aunt Gibby's carrot cakes. So anyway I open the mail and out comes a Blue Ribbon for my aunt Gibby's carrot cake. I was so shocked. Aunt Gibby to this day still talks to me I hear her a lot. Shoot one day I was at the store to buy oil for he cake and I was going to buy the oil I always get and I heard her tell me NO I said only Wesson oil. so I put back mine and got what she said. ( I know oils are the same cause I checked mine and the wesson) The people at Just A Pinch are the ones who make the recipes and test them and then they vote on them. I take no credit for this recipe it is all my Aunt Gibby's so when I do
my recipe book I'm going to do just a page on the Carrot Cake and use the Blue ribbon on it.

Thank you all very much for visiting my Blog and we'll see ya the next time.
